University Distance Learning

Hi!  My name is Michael and I’m the owner and administrator of this website.  Thanks for attending the birth of a new addition to the online education community.

To tell the truth, there’s still a lot that I don’t know about online education.  That’s okay, because there’s always time to learn, and whatever I do learn I’m going to share with you here on this blog.

I don’t specifically have any direct experience with distance learning.  I did however obtain my Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey in 2004.  Ultimately I have a special plan in mind for this blog which I will share with you in another post, something much more interactive in nature.  For now I’d like to tell you a little more about the rest of my baby!

Life Stories

A new addition to the distance education family!

I created the Life Stories section because obtaining an education requires a degree of commitment which can take years to accomplish and typically involves a great deal of human interest in terms of facing challenges and overcoming obstacles in making the journey.

You might look at these stories like product reviews, in the sense that it often helps to hear the experience of another customer of the same or similar product you are planning to purchase.  You can gain an insight from these personal anecdotes into how online education has helped shape the lives of others and how they got to where they were going.

If you have a story you would like to share you are welcome to contact me through this online form.  Moreover, if you’ve ever had a negative personal experience of some kind with online schooling, a regret of some sort, or a mistake you may have made along the way that others could learn from, I also invite you to let me know.

Your Mission

The goal of the Your Mission page is to hopefully inspire some people.  I wrote it with the effort to show that education is not necessarily the only path, or even the right path for everyone to follow in life, and so to take good care in deciding your future.  I think if you view your life as though you are on a mission from god (the creator, the great spirit, or what you will ..) it will infuse you with a sense of urgency not to fail and a greater vitality.

Finally

Lastly, the Resources page will link you up with online schools that can offer you assistance and to answer questions and provide any information you may be looking for.  I often jump the gun in making decisions and realize down the road that I would have saved a considerable amount of my valuable time had I just gone and asked somebody first!
